Pummelled by Google

This site was wrongly labeled by Google as hosting malware. Google, once they label a site in that manner, refuses to share any useful information with the site owner. Instead, they refer you to a list of unhelpful bullet points including things like “read your code carefully.”

After using three separate services to re-check my site, I came to believe that Google had a false positive reading on my site, because no one else could find any questionable scripts on this site. However, Google continued to warn people away from this site – including throwing up a red warning page for anyone using Firefox that prevented them from directly accessing this site.

In the end – I had to ditch the entire site. So we’re starting over. Because Google is SO big that they can shut down access to a site and not fear any retribution. Remember all the fuss about net neutrality? This is why.
